F.C. København has reached a sales agreement with Vålerenga for Christian Grindheim. Grindheim has been on loan from F.C. København to Vålerenga this spring. The plan is for Grindheim to be in Vålerenga for three years. I thrive very well in the club, says Christian Grindheim in an interview with vif-fotball.no. F.C. København will thank Christian Grindheim for an always professional performance during his time in F.C. København. We are pleased that he can now continue in Vålerenga, where he has received regular playing time and has shown his level and potential, says FCK's sports director Carsten V. Jensen on the club's website. Vålerenga coach Kjetil Rekdal made Grindheim captain immediately after the loan in the spring, and has always been clear that he wants to build the team around the 30-year-old. Grindheim has been one of Vålerenga's best players so far in the season. The performance was also rewarded with a place in Egil Olsens national team for the World Cup qualifying match against Albania earlier in the spring. Grindheim's contract with F.C. København would have expired after this season.
