F.C. København has partnered with FC Rosengård to develop women's football in Denmark. The partnership aims to create a foundation for Nordic success in European football. Rebecca Steele, project manager for women's football at F.C. København, says that FC Rosengård is in the absolute elite when it comes to women's football and elite development. F.C. København has big ambitions and will do it in a completely different way. The club will develop, but preferably faster than they have seen in recent years. Sune Smith-Nielsen, development director at F.C. København, says that FC Rosengård is light-years ahead because they have been running a women's project for many years. F.C. København had the first talks about having both a women's team and talent development 4-5 years ago. The club knew they had to get started, now that they had finally got a grip on the men's side. The ambition is also that when a solid handful of calendar pages have been turned, F.C. København will have a talent environment that can compete both Danish and European. Håkan Wifvesson, chairman of the board at FC Rosengård, says that the proximity between the two clubs is a great advantage. When the distance is greater, the partnership is not as strong. F.C. København and FC Rosengård both have big ambitions and want to put speed under women's football in Denmark and Sweden.
